The Constitutional Amendment Passed

Below are the changes to the Calvary Church constitution enacted by the elders following consent by a majority of church members. Fifty-eight percent of members voted YES to amending the constitution, 8-percent voted NO, and the remainder did not vote. Tap the first page to read the full constitution.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES:

  • Section 5.01(a): Delete the phrase "willingly receive baptism as a visible sign of invisible grace.”

  • Section 6.01(a): Add biblical references in regards to the selection of elders.

  • Section 6.01(b): Delete the sentence “Calvary’s model for the proper functioning of the church is: ‘elder guarded, staff led, and congregation driven.’”

  • Section 6.06: A new section outlining that believer's baptism is required for all elders, pastors, church officers and those who are members of Calvary's leadership team.
