Take the Summer Challenge:

 Invite Your Neighbors Over

When you set the table and share a meal, you create a space where people feel loved and the spirit of God can move. This summer, our goal is to host 100 tables where strangers become neighbors, neighbors can become friends; and friends might become the family of God. 100 tables to share a meal, learn each other’s stories, and laugh and maybe cry together. And if the Holy Spirit leads, share the gospel.

Ready to accept the challenge?

Grab a commitment card from the table in the Commons on Sunday. Fill out the tear-off section and leave it at the table to let us know that you’re going to be part of the 100 Tables challenge. Can’t make it on Sunday? Table Host a Table below and sign up that way! Financial hardship should not keep you from this challenge. Gift cards are available if you need one. Contact Sarah Courtney.

Hosting a table is so easy, but we’ve given you a step-by-step guide and a few pointers. Remember that all you’re really doing is making friends!

Some ways to start a conversation about Jesus

  • Gently ask open-ended questions like “What do you now about Jesus?” or “What do you think about Jesus and the cross?”

  • Tell a story about how God has worked in your life and been there for you.

  • Invite them to church or to one of Calvary’s summer events.
