Calvary Church

Back when I was a freelance writer and editor, Calvary hired me for a few hours a week, and I’ve been so challenged and blessed by working for the church that a few hours became more and more until this is my second most important job. Here I get to tell the stories of God at work in people’s lives, help craft study materials that foster spiritual growth, and keep the lines of communication humming. The Calvary community recognizes that people have been uniquely equipped to serve and loves people as they are so my inner grammar nerd is on full display around here, and people seem to like me anyway. 

 My most important job is mom-ing. (Yes, that’s a word. I’m the editor here so I get to decide.) My husband Todd and I have 2 boys. We homeschool and we’re in the adventure of the teen years. To answer your inevitable next questions: No one has enough patience to homeschool, including us, but God is full of grace and mercy; and yes, we probably are a little bit crazy. If you see us walking somewhere after nightfall, we’ll all have our faces tipped to the sky since we’re astronomy geeks.
