All through the Bible, God encourages his people to be generous with the resources he has given. Generosity is part of the Christian life, and faithful givers find that God lives up to his promise to abundantly bless them (Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:10-12).
The Bible also tells us that those who follow Christ are to be wise, so you should know that we are committed to financial accountability and transparency. There is no organization on earth with more potential to change the world than the local church (Ephesians 3:10), and our budget is driven by our mission to see more lives changed forever through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to translate every dollar into changed lives.
There are three funds where most gifts to Calvary Church are directed:
General Fund
This fund supports our regular ministries and programs, funds mission work in the local and global community, and ensures that the operations of the church continue. This is where regular giving (tithe) goes.
Outward Fund
The fund created to pay off Calvary’s mortgage expeditiously so that more funds can be designated towards current and new outreach initiatives. Offerings above and beyond your regular giving can be directed here if you choose. More information about Outward may be found here.
Compassion Fund
A fund created to support compassion initiatives as directed by the Elder Board. Through this fund we are able to minister to those in need in our church, our community, and around the world. Offerings above and beyond your regular giving can be directed here if you choose.
