It has been a blessing to call Calvary Church our family since 2010, when we moved to Indiana from Florida. God opened a door for me to serve on staff shortly after we started attending the church, and it has been a joy and privilege to work in ministry with such a wonderful team. I met Jesus as a child at VBS and was baptized at the same time as my dad. I had a difficult beginning to my story the first five years of my life and was so thankful to meet a special friend in Jesus. God has seen me through a lot, and I thank him for his steady hand on my life through a rough start and some winding roads along the way.
I am a former cosmetologist, teacher, and sales executive. It has been so interesting to see God use what I have learned by working in different industries and obtaining a varied education. I have been able to work in several roles at Calvary over the years and am currently enjoying serving our staff by working alongside our Lead Teaching Pastor and Lead Pastor of Ministries. I love our staff so much, and I get to work closely with many members of our leadership and management teams ensuring that ministry can effectively take place by overseeing finances, facility, security, connections, office management/HR/tech, and women's ministry. Every day is different (and sometimes challenging!) and it is perfect for me because I love variety, a busy pace, and learning. One of the most challenging and rewarding roles for me is serving our women as a certified Biblical Counselor. I love encouraging women with God's word and his promises.
My husband and I serve on the Marriage Crisis team and primarily work with newly married couples as well as provide pre-marital counseling for engaged couples. We have two grown sons. We love boating, cruises, and spending time with family and friends. A few fun facts about me are that I was raised in Hawaii, I love to speak and write, and I love a variety of music. My playlist switches from Beastie Boys, Jeremy Camp, Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, Hillsong…you name it, it's probably on my playlist! My dream is to write a book one day and see each of my loved ones come to know Jesus.
