Outreach Opportunities in Student's and Children's Ministries

Students’ Ministries

This Spring, we had our Limitless event and many students chose to donate items to First Fruits Farm. We also worked with the Valparaiso Creative Counsel whom we met at the Local Outreach Dinner. We helped with set-up at their Speakeasy event.

As part of our mission trip training, our Student Costa Rica GO Team attended the School of Missions to learn more about the impact our service has on those whom we serve in other countries.

Children’s Ministries

For the last three years, Calvary Kids have collected stockings for the kids that First Fruits Farms serves.  This year, grown-ups joined in helping, and together we collected just over 100 stockings!

In March over 30 children enjoyed a hands-on experience of African customs and culture while tasting regional foods and drink. They learned how to carry a baby on their backs, wash clothes by hand, and carry a basket of fruit on their heads. They ate some handmade Bofrot (pronounced Boo-Fruit) straight from Ghana, drank traditional Ugandan Chai Tea and got to experience a day in the life of the families that ECM works with.  The kids learned how ECM helps these families and even learned how THEY can help too by praying for them! They shared a practical way we could respond and love the people they minister to by taking part in the ECM shoe drive.
